Active study mode
- First, choose the number of sentences you want to practise. Read the sentences aloud in your source language.
- Now listen to the recordings of the same sentences in both your source and target language while reading along silently.
- Next, listen to the recordings of the sentences only in your target language while reading along.
- Read the sentences aloud in the target language to get used to the sounds and rhythm.
- Copy the sentences by hand in the target language — research shows writing helps memorisation far more than typing.
Passive study mode
Listen to the recordings whenever you have time: first in both languages, then in the target language only. Repeat sets as often as you like to reinforce what you learned in the active mode.
ConvoPower Products
Active study mode
- Pick any dialogue you like — each one is a self-contained unit.
- Now listen to the recordings of the dialogue in both your source and target language while reading along silently.
- Next, listen to the recordings of the entire dialogue only in your target language while reading along.
- Read the dialogue aloud in your target language.
- Now listen to the dialogue in the target language again, but this time without looking at the written text.
- Copy the dialogue by hand to deepen vocabulary and grammar retention.
Passive study mode
Simply listen to the audio recordings whenever you have time.
First, listen to a dialogue in both your source and your target language.
Next, listen to the same dialogue in your target language only. Then move on to the following dialogue.
Practise as many dialogues as you feel comfortable with.
