Our products are for anybody who wants to reach an advanced level in the languages we offer and has a basic knowledge of the grammar and knows around 800 - 1,000 words in the target language.
You can still use our products without any knowledge of your target language if you use beginner's study material simultaneously. This way you'll be using our material more as an "immersion course" rather than building on your pre-existing knowledge.
Both approaches work and which one you choose depends on the type of learner you are. However, we believe that you will benefit the most from our products as an advanced beginner.

Similar to any other learning process, language learning requires time and dedication. There is no general answer to how much time you need to absorb all of the study material we offer. This largely depends on your own personal study routine.
Usually, people who have reached an advanced beginner's level before using our products, take anywhere from 6 months to one year to effectively absorb the material included in our SentencePower and ConvoPower products.
You should never forget, however, that language learning is not limited to the acquisition of knowledge. You also need to practise to be able to make efficient use of the knowledge you have acquired.
So, don't just put the study material aside once you have gone through it. Use it regularly to consolidate your knowledge. It will turn out to be a valuable companion on your journey to explore the wealth of original content in your target language.

Both products combined will help you internalize important grammatical structures and a vocabulary which will get you to a C1 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). This level is comparable to TOEFL scores of 95 and above and to a 7.0 score in IELTS.

Yes, of course, you can. LingoCradle products have been created with the needs of advanced beginners in mind. There is a lot of study material for beginners and lower intermediate learners available but very few products on the market cater for the needs of people who would like to bridge the gap between a lower intermediate level and an advanced level which will allow you to speak and understand a language with ease.
Our SentencePower and ConvoPower products will bridge that gap and boost your active knowledge of the language you have chosen.

We use transcriptions for Japanese and Mandarin because there are internationally recognised and uniform transcription systems for these two languages.
For other languages with non-Western scripts, such as Farsi and Arabic, we have not offered any transcriptions because our customers have different linguistic backgrounds and there are no uniform internationally recognised transcription systems for these languages.
Besides, both languages use an alphabet whose letters can be learnt much more easily and quickly than thousands of Japanese and/or Chinese characters.

Currently, we have no plans to do so but we might look into that option if there is a demand for it.

Yes, it is and there is a good reason for it. The core vocabulary we have chosen is the same in all languages because no matter which language you study and irrespective of certain cultural differences, the basic types of interaction between people are the same.
Based on our experience, providing the same content in many languages helps digest content more easily when studying multiple languages and it offers an opportuntiy to directly compare how certain things are expressed in different languages which will also make switching between languages easier.
Another advantage is that once you have bought one of our products in a specific language, you can be sure that you will get the same quality content in all other languages. This may not always be the case with other products on the market where different content is offered in different languages and the vocabulary and grammatical structures practised may vary significantly from one product to another.

For some of our languages — yes! German, English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Arabic each come with two regional varieties, so you can choose the version you prefer: German (Germany/Austria), English (US/UK), Spanish (European/Mexican), Portuguese (European/Brazilian), and Arabic (MSA/Syrian).

When you buy any of our products, you will immediately gain access to them and you will own them for the rest of your life.
We believe this to be in the best interest of language learners.
You won't pay for times when you don't use the material (like in a subscription model) and you won't have to follow a strict course regime imposed by others like in some online course models.
Subscription models and online courses have their strong points as well, but for the time being we think that our download model provides our customers with more benefits.
